  • The Live Food Show – Carfax – 10.30am to 3.30pm

    Horsham Beer Trail LogoThe live cookery theatre will see a demonstration kitchen arriving in Horsham to take pride of place in the Carfax, opposite Panino Cafe in the Town Centre.

    The high spec kitchen will be used on the big day by a number of chefs from local businesses, plus traders from Horsham’s weekly local produce market, that will collectively form a live programme of entertainment so chefs and others can showcase their culinary skills, demonstrate and impart their knowledge.

    The programme is professionally compered by foodie Hilary Knight, founder of Sussex Food and Drink Network. Hilary works with chefs and food and drink producers from across Sussex and will be engaging with the public and interacting with demonstrators on the day, teasing out their top tips.

    Whilst visitors will witness cooking at its very best, there will certainly be opportunities for free tasters.


  • Southdowns Historic Bus Rides – 10am – 4pm

    Horsham & Small Market Towns across the District – 10am to 4pm

    Bus Rally LogoFrom 10am and throughout the day, there will be a Town Centre loop service operating from Horsham’s Carfax, offering the chance to ride free of charge on a selection of historic buses.

    The route will include a stop at Hop Oast, where there will be bus related stalls and a variety of buses on display. Also, to link with activities across the District, there will be services running between the towns of Billingshurst, Henfield, Pulborough, Southwater, Storrington and Steyning – completely free of charge!

    This will be a great event for all the family to attend and a chance to explore Horsham and their tastes and in the Big Nibble!

    A mysterious shed appears – overnight. Opening the doors, words and stories tumble out, with music and laughter filling the air. Time to enter the world of stories and listen to tales of the foodie scheduled at; 10.30, 11.30, 12.30, 13.30, 14.30, 15.30. – Free with The Shed of Stories street theatre.

    Take a moment out from all the hustle and bustle and make your own Lotus Flower. This global project is an opportunity to encourage a child’s creativity, whilst promoting a greater understanding of the values that inspire a compassionate heart. Symbolising extending the hand of friendship to other innocent children less fortunate like Fadu, a little girl whose farther lost his life in China simply for embracing the values of ‘Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance’. – Free with Petals for Peace.

  • Big Busk Horsham – Across Horsham – 10am to 4pm

    Big Busk LogoPerformers from a wide variety of art forms, including music, drama, comedy, dance, mime, magic and anything else that would captivate an audience entertain throughout the town.

    Artists will be selected to perform a number of short ‘sets’ moving between designated locations across the town with all performers getting to play the ‘main stage’ – Carfax’s Bandstand. Arrangements will be put in place for the public to vote for their favourites online through a YouTube playlist and at the event. Votes placed at the event will be weighted more highly, encouraging people to visit the town to view the performers live on the day.

    You can vote online at www.bigbuskhorsham.live, or in person on the day at Springboard Project gazebo in the Carfax.

    The event is being organised by Horsham District Council along with partners including Horsham Rocks and the Visit Horsham team. Local charity, The Springboard Project, will be supported by the event and local business and more community and business partners are being sought.

  • International Food Festival – East Street – 11am to 4pm

    International Food FestivalCome and enjoy the magnificent International Food festival on Saturday & Sunday starting from 11am co-ordinated by Horsham’s unique Japanese Restaurant and Bar, Wabi in East Street. You will be able to enjoy international food delights from the great variety of restaurants in East Street and Market Square

    Decorated stalls outside will educate passers-by on what makes them unique, offer tasters and demonstrate their skills, such as cocktail flaring and vegetable carving.


  • Horsham Beer Trail – Across Horsham – 11am to 4pm

    Horsham Beer Trail LogoOn both days of the Big Nibble you will be able to start your tasting journey from the Hepworth’s Beer Tent in the Carfax, pick up your passport and taster glass and discover Horsham District’s finest beer and cider producers!

    Entry is just £2 and if you complete the trail you can hand in your passport at the Black Jug to be entered into a prize draw to win a fantastic meal.
